Dragon Boat Festival 2022
The Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival is one of the biggest charity events in the area and raises tens of thousands of pounds for local charities each and every year.
In September 2022, the Siemlus team came together to take part in their first annual Dragon Boat Festival, held at the beautiful Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. The event was a fantastic opportunity for local businesses and teams to unite for a great cause — raising money for charities across the area.
All proceeds from the Siemlus team’s efforts went to YIS (Young People’s Mental Health), an independent charity based in Milton Keynes that provides vital counselling, education, and training to improve mental health and wellbeing for young people and those who support them.
The festival was a vibrant celebration of teamwork, community spirit, and charitable giving. With teams competing in friendly but spirited races across the lake, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie.
Siemlus are proud to have supported YIS in this incredible event, which helped raise an impressive £37,000 for local charities in and around Milton Keynes. It was a memorable day that not only brought people together but also made a meaningful difference in the local community.
