Voco Hotel Winchester is a contemporary, upscale hotel that was recently refurbished from a Holiday Inn into the stylish and inviting Voco brand. Blending modern elegance with a welcoming atmosphere, the hotel offers a rejuvenated experience in the heart of Winchester. With 131 beautifully designed rooms, it provides the perfect base for both leisure and business travellers.

Among its standout features is The Ana Spa and Gym, an exclusive wellness area where guests can unwind with luxurious treatments, enjoy the sauna and steam rooms, or stay fit in the state-of-the-art gym. For dining, the hotel presents a sophisticated restaurant offering a menu filled with locally-sourced and seasonal dishes, alongside a chic bar perfect for relaxed evenings.

In addition to leisure facilities, Voco Hotel Winchester is equipped with flexible meeting spaces ideal for corporate events or special occasions. The hotel’s attentive service and modern amenities make it a popular choice for conferences, meetings, and celebrations.

The Brief

The Siemlus team were approached to design, procure, Install, manage & support various technology solutions throughout the property.

To align with Voco's distinctive standards, Siemlus undertook a comprehensive technological overhaul across all hotel operations. This included upgrading Administrative IT, Telephony, retrofitting Retro Phones, and modernising Mini Bars and Safes to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency. Additionally, in partnership with Hoteza, Siemlus designed and implemented a custom Hoteza TV System, tailored specifically to meet Voco’s requirements, providing seamless in-room entertainment and interactive services for guests. This extensive modernisation ensures that Voco Hotel Winchester remains at the cutting edge of hospitality technology.

Hoteza TV

Siemlus recommended the integration of the Hoteza IPTV system. Recognising the growing importance of in-room entertainment experiences, Siemlus proposed the Hoteza IPTV system as a means to elevate the guest experience, offering a diverse range of high-quality content and interactive features with plenty of upselling opportunities.

The Delivery

Design

We meticulously designed VOCO Winchester’s layouts, seamlessly integrating technology into the hotel's architecture. Detailed annotations ensured every aspect aligned with the overall design, complemented by a custom technology specification tailored to the unique needs of the property.

Procure

We expertly managed procurement for VOCO Winchester, sourcing everything from bedroom safes to essential IT equipment, including servers and telephony systems. Our meticulous approach ensured the hotel was equipped with premium amenities, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Install

The installation process at VOCO Winchester covered both first and second fixes for structured cabling and IT infrastructure, including the hotel's TV system. This crucial phase brought the design and procurement to life, delivering a robust, seamlessly integrated technological ecosystem.

Manage/ Support

Siemlus Connect, an all-encompassing support system, was deployed to uphold the continuous smooth operation of all technological aspects. This proactive strategy ensures that the technological infrastructure of Voco Winchester remains dependable and current.
